4 Roller Inline - This stand has all 4 rollers inline with each other. The benefit is that you can clamp down on larger diameter rods like jigsticks or gaffs and absolutely lock them inside the stand. With all 4 rollers pushing from each corner it can almost bend your track if you pull on a locked in rod. People also use these for heavy sanding and stabilizing heavy 100lb railrod grips by putting the stand directly on the hood of symmetrical reel seats like Alps.
4 Roller offset - This stand has 4 rollers, but they are offset if you looked at the stand from the side. Staggering the rollers has the benefit of locking down rods, with the benefit being that the stand can close down much smaller diameter rods. These stands also has a 3rd screw hole that is pre-tapped for moving one of the top rollers center to make this stand a normal 3 roller just incase you need to clamp down on a tiny trout rod or tip.
3 Roller Standard - This is our standard stand. Its a traditional stand similar to the original Pac bay stands. The 3 roller stand locks down on smaller rods, with larger saltwater rods being able to be pulled out the side. Some wrappers prefer to use 3 rollers to quickly swap rods on their machines.
3 Roller Mirrored LEFTHAND - First in the world, we decided to mirror one of our stands to make all the knobs and adjustments on the outside of where you are wrapping. This lets you get MUCH more clearance near the tiptops and soft rods like ultralight trout rods. This stand is great to have if you do softer rods, and even on larger saltwater rods its awesome.
Picking out a set highly depends on your personal preference when it comes to wrapping. Typically I recommend a start of 4 stands. A 4 roller of some type, and 3 mix and match of the others. Its highly dependent on what diameter of rods you typically work with. If all you did was trout rods I'd say 1x offset 4, and 2x standard 3, and 1x lefthand. If you wrap larger saltwater rods I'd say 1x inline 4, 1 to 2x offset 4, rest 3 and +Left.
Features:
Abec 5 sealed bearings (Higher quality bearings, held to a higher tolerance)
Oversized Silicone O rings (Larger footprint o ring means more contact area with the blank. Less pressure points on the rod aswell as being non marking, Will not weather check with age)
Thumbnuts (No more fighting with tiny sharp wingnuts)
Low Profile design
These stands are the result of 3 years of prototyping and revising. Originally based off the guillotine style CPW stands, These stands are on revision 8 or 9. They have been well tested by many fulltime rod builders. We include replacement O rings with the stands aswell as provide the size and link to buy the replacement Orings.
