We designed these chuck jaws to solve the problem of chucking up a blank that already had a buttcap installed. These jaws are made of a firm flexible material called TPU. It's more of a plastic than a rubber, but still maintains its flexibility. My jaws are purposefully extended to grab more rod, on top of having a hollow structure that allows us to dial in the firmness of the jaws.
The 30$ kit includes 2 sizes. One set for smaller rods, another for regular large saltwater rods and buttcaps. Can fit a full sized ULUA.
